ABOUT US

Mothers United Meaningfully (MUM Group) was founded in 2020 by mothers who saw too many women in our community with talent and drive, but no access to training or startup support.

We started with just a thought after seeing many mothers struggling to put food on their tables doing very dangerous work in a stone quarry with kids strapped on their backs.

Today we run practical skills training and mentorship for women and youth. We focus on income-generating activities like tailoring, baking, soap making, crafts, urban farming and other skills that turn into real businesses and real income.

Our mission is simple: help mothers gain skills, earn with dignity, and build better futures for their families. Because when a mother rises, her whole home rises with her.

WHY IT MATTERS

From Quarry Work to Business Owner

Dangerous stone quarry work was the only option for many mothers we met. Now graduates of Mothers United Meaningfully sell soap at markets, bake for events, and tailor school uniforms.

When a mother earns, 3 things happen:

Support a Mother, Change a Home

Every donation helps a woman trade dangerous work for dignified income. Choose your impact:

$50 – Training Kit per skill

Covers learning materials for 1 woman in tailoring, baking, soap making, or crafts. She leaves with a skill she can use tomorrow.

$150 – Starter Kit

Buys the basics for her first business: a sewing kit, baking pans, OR soap making supplies + molds. This is where income starts.

$250 – Full Sponsorship

Funds 1 woman through our full 8-week program: training, mentorship, business planning, and market linkage support.

$600 – Train 5 Women

Sponsor a small group. 5 mothers learn together, support each other, and launch 5 new income projects.
